Its the same every season, complaints about the prices, compaints about the lack of signings. Like I say to my daughter, there isn't a money tree at the end of our garden - and she doesn't believe me either  |

I don't think that the non-renewers are going to be non-attenders. As I've said since January, I won't renew without fundamental improvement, starting with Steve Bruce. I will still go each game, but will squire it in the Main Stand and hobnob in the paddock. Might even try the OG. the tilton and go home to the Kop sometimes. Its going to be great paying on the gate, meeting different fans each game, havin a whinge and a moan and hearing new whinges and moans. Should the Bruce depart, all these dreams will go up in smoke and we'll be back there in a panic trying to get our old seats back !!! |

Well going by my ticket for the Kop Corner. Option A: Season 06/07 - £513 Season 07/08 - £410.40 (20% off) Saving £102.60 Season 08/09 - £513 Option B: Season 06/07 - £513 Season 07/08 - £384.75 (25% off) Saving £128.25 Well a saving of £102.60 next season? I'm not confident us being in the Premier next year, and as far as I can imagine, if we did, the season tickets wouldn't be much more than they currently are for Premiership football. So that saving only looks good with promotion. But your paying over the odds this season. As for option B, they're asking for the money upfront. Saving £128.25 next season. Well ok, thats nice if we go straight back up. But who really believes that? ..and paying upfront, are you going to use BCFC's financing? Credit cards? That'll wipe your saving straight out. Not trying to influence anyone in the slightest, but just pointing out, think first! The U12's ticket is great if you have children. Unfortunately i think i've been firing blanks, so that doesn't help me. ;) |

Ive been going down the Blues since 1972 and to be honest the price of a season ticket hasn't or wouldnt stop me from going. Yes I am fed up but regardless I will be there. This season has been very poor and to be honest the worst value for money season since 1995 when we got relegated under Fry. This year for our money we have seen 19 goals (5 in 1 game) and 8 games without a goal to cheer. The last time we were in the second tier we saw 44 goals for the Blues and only 3 games without a goal. |

instead of sending in an extra £50, why dont you send in a few million, we can buy a goal scorer, after all, you would pay whatever you have to ;) |

Rationale as follows... The commercial strategy of the club in recent years has been to raise as much money as possible by squeezing every penny out of the existing fan base. The strategy should have been : (a) to grow the fan base (b) to build loyalty amongst existing fans The ST price policy (Championship football at Premiership prices) is another example of squeezing money out of existing fans. If a large proportion of fans renew it sends a signal that, in the words of another poster, fans will pay whatever it costs. It simply perpetuates the short-term thinking, which is not in the club's (or the fans') best interests. The commercial department need a wake up call : a clear message that even the loyalest of fans should not be taken for granted or ripped off. Ideal scenario : disasterous ST sales, leading to radical rethink of commercial strategy, leading to a better deal for existing fans & more focus on growing revenue through growing the fan base (We can watch the blues without buying a ST ;) ) |

That's the post I most agree with, it's there in a nutshell. As John Peel said of Teenage Kicks; There's nothing you could add to it or take away from it which would make it any better. I'll be renewing, but I'll still be chuckling at the renewal letter that will no doubt promise Blues first 30 million quid signing. |

championship football for nearly £500 you can stick your season ticket where the sun dont shine. ive looked at prices around the premiership and found out that Bolton,Blackburn,Everton,Villa, man city, wigan, are paying less than me and there going to watch Man utd, Arsenal, Chelsea etc... and im paying more to watch Colchester, southend etc.... I love blues more than any1 but its going to be going to away games to watch the blues and pick my home games when they reduce the prices |

You forgot the other message it send to the club. Fans are happy to pay up front, therefore they are happy with the way things are being run, OK we got relegated but if they were unhappy with the manager and the way he has the team playing surely they wouldn't fork out for a season ticket. By rushing to by your ST you are simply prolonging SBs reign at St Andrews. I don't buy an ST as I can't get to midweek games (even more of a reason this year) but I had one for a number of years and if I had one I would not renew until the day after SB left - then I'd be first in the queue. |

Well, I and my family are going to join the significant band of "refusniks", and decline their request to renew. For me the conditions for renewal were: * Bruce Out * A significant reduction in the price of a 2006/2007 season ticket of between 20-30%. * Free Cup Games * Cessation of subsidised games for casual fans. I shall pick and choose my games until a new manager is installed, and after many, many, many years as a ST holder, it bloody pains me to do it. I agree with an earlier poster, that is, that getting a season-ticket, is tacit agreement that you want Steve Bruce to continue managing the decline of BCFC. I will take no part in such a suicidal project. BRUCE OUT. |
